You’ve probably heard of KitchenAid. They’re one of the largest brands for kitchen appliances, small and large. You probably own one of those shiny and brightly colored Kitchen mixers or toasters. If you love KitchenAid appliances, you’ll love KitchenAid cookware as well. The best thing about KitchenAid cookware is that they come in similar aesthetics, so you’ll be able to create a theme for your kitchen.
KitchenAid mainly makes stainless steel cookware and hard anodized non stick cookware, but they do have copper core and aluminum cookware as well. What I love about KitchenAid cookware is that I can easily find a set that is induction-friendly. The performance for most KitchenAid cookware sets is above average too.
KitchenAid Stainless Steel Cookware
I love KitchenAid stainless steel cookware. They are affordable, made of high quality stainless steel and cook well. If you’re going for an entire cookware set, I recommend the KitchenAid KCSS10 series. This 10-piece cookware set is just gorgeous in its polished stainless steel finish, which is my favorite, but you could also go for the same set in their signature Empire Red or Onyx Black.
I didn’t buy the whole set though, as I was only looking for specific pieces to use on my induction cooktop. This stainless steel series is also available in separate pieces, such as sauce pans, saute pans, chef pans, and skillets in various sizes.
I have the 3.5-quart saute pan with glass lid. I love it. The glass lid is domed and just perfect for me to check the food cooking inside. The depth is just right for many things, even deep frying. The stockpot is great too, with the same tempered glass lid and very useful, etched measurement markings in the pot.
If you are careful with the heat, the KitchenAid stainless steel skillets work really well for frying and searing meat. The thick bottoms of the pans allow them to heat up evenly and sit on your cooktop nicely. Together with the riveted handle, each pan gleams of high quality.
The metal handles are good if you like recipes that move the food from stove to oven for a finishing touch. They aren’t good when left on the stove for long; they get a bit too warm for comfortable handling.
Remember that with all stainless steel cookware, cleaning may be a problem. Food sticks if you haven’t gotten the temperature right. With the KitchenAid cookware, you can just pop them into the dishwasher after use.
KitchenAid Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware
On the other hand, you may want to consider the hard anodized non stick KitchenAid KCH2S10KM cookware set. Nonstick cookware is the easiest to wash, nothing sticks, and they’re lighter than stainless steel.
This KitchenAid cookware set is solid and long lasting. I’ve used mine for more than 2 years and they’re not much different from when they were brand new. I love the Y-shape stainless steel riveted handles. They are long and this makes the cookware look really professional. They also stay cooler than those of the stainless steel set.
Another thing I love about this KitchenAid nonstick cookware is the stainless steel base. The base contributes to even heating and adds weight to the pan or pot so that it sits firmly on the stove.
You’ll notice that the non stick surface of these pieces are different from Teflon non stick pans. It may even appear to be less non stick, but eggs do slide off easily and clean up needs less effort than washing a coffee mug.
If you don’t want a full 10-piece set of the hard anodized KitchenAid cookware, I suggest getting the 5-piece set that consists of a 3.5-quart saute pan, 3-quart saucepan and 10-inch skillet. The saute pan and saucepan both come with domed glass lids, and you can actually use the lid of the saute pan for the skillet.
